Howdy!

I’m Stephanie and I’m a full-time artist working from my home studio in New Braunfels, Texas. I went to school at Texas State University where I received formal painting training, as well as obtaining teaching certification. I began my career as an elementary art educator, but after nearly a decade of working with children, I left the classroom to focus on my own painting practice. Since then, I have been steadily developing a series of works for exhibition as well as numerous commissioned pieces. I paint primarily in acrylics, but also enjoy working with oils, or gouache and watercolor on paper. Occasionally, I'll even have fun experimenting with other media like mosaics and stained glass. When I'm not in the studio, I am likely photographing my inspiration which comes from traveling and exploring the outdoors.
